Profile: Sponsorship is an important part of UEFA's marketing and commercial strategy, and sponsorship partners play a vital role in all UEFA competitions in terms of their financial support and their promotional potential worldwide. The Sponsorship Manager needs in-depth knowledge of the sponsorship market (trends, key investors, main rights holders, fee levels, etc.) and good experience of sponsorship activation (both experiential and digital) at football and other sporting events. He/she is responsible for assisting with the development of the club competition sponsorship framework (sales policy, rights packages, guidelines, account management standards and project plans, etc.), as well as drafting, review and concluding sponsorship contracts and ensures that the various rights are signed off internally. The role also involves optimising the way the sponsorship programmes are run by our agency, TEAM Marketing, coordinating marketing operations, delivering digital rights and sponsors' promotional activities, and representing sponsors' interests throughout the season and at final tournaments and finals, both in-house and externally. Competitions within the remit of the Sponsorship Manager include the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Super Cup, the UEFA Futsal Champions League and the UEFA Youth League. He/she provides marketing expertise to ensure that competition sponsorship rights are delivered to the highest possible standard and to optimise sponsorship programmes in general.

Purpose: Marketing skills: - Has a thorough understanding of market dynamics (in terms of economics, the media, digital and social media, sponsorship and broadcasting), as well as the business needs of key players and partners; - Is driven by innovation and the latest trends, always striving to set new benchmarks; - Proactively supports partners in the development of activation activities; - Generates sponsorship business opportunities for UEFA and its partners; - Fostering the development of new skills in the Sponsorship Unit; - Adopts a proactive approach to identifying new sponsorship opportunities.

Main responsibilities: - Representing sponsors' interests within UEFA's club competition set-up; - Coordinating the operation and implementation of sponsorship activities; - Overseeing the management of sponsorship accounts by T.E.A.M. Marketing; - Sponsorship Optimisation: staying close to the latest trends and applying when relevant to UCL & UEL sponsorship - Digital Sponsorship oversight - Coordinating sponsorship manuals and marketing input rules; - Managing a specific budget.

Output: - Providing general support for the development of marketing plans and business development activities for current and future projects as appropriate. - With digital representing a key component of a modern sponsorship strategy, the role also requires a strong understanding of digital sponsorship, including social and CRM. The Sponsorship Manager will be responsible for building existing and new digital assets to enhance the rights package and create additional value. - The Sponsorship Manager will be required to learn about the format of UEFA club competitions, UEFA's commercial strategy and sponsorship agreements, UEFA's marketing platform and objectives, and sponsors' rights, obligations, expectations and business needs. - The Sponsorship Manager works closely with his/her superiors, sponsorship and licensing counterparts, other UEFA marketing units, UEFA Events SA's Operations Division and T.E.A.M. marketing, as well as UEFA's Communications Unit, Competitions Division and Legal Affairs Division. He/she works closely with the National Team Competitions Sponsorship Manager to ensure a coherent and consistent approach across all UEFA competitions and foster cross-fertilisation among those competitions.

Club competition sponsorship sales: - Providing input for the development of commercial concepts, sales strategies and sales policy; - Leading the contracting process on behalf of UEFA marketing (in cooperation with UEFA's Legal Affairs Division and T.E.A.M Marketing); - Ensuring that contractual points are agreed on internally.

Sponsorship account management: - Working with T.E.A.M Marketing (which is responsible for sales account management and client servicing activities) to set up and develop an account management framework, as well as clear guidelines and reporting; - Dealing with exceptions to this framework, including internal approval of any sensitive requests, campaigns or activities on the part of sponsors, e.g. LED artwork;

Coordination of commercial operations: - Ensuring the proper implementation of commercial programmes for UEFA club competitions, in close cooperation with TEAM and UEFA Events SA's Operations Division; - Managing sponsors' promotional activities and fostering synergies with UEFA's marketing and promotional activities;

Cooperation: - Coordinating and liaising with UEFA's Competitions Division on regulations, workshops, bidding matters etc.; - Coordinating operations with other UEFA sponsorship programmes to improve dialogue and consistency between sponsorship platforms for club and national team competitions.

Requirements: Experience required: - from 6 to 8 years' experience in the sports marketing industry, including two to four years of managerial experience at a sports agency involved in football - from 4 to 6 years' agency and account management experience - from 4 to 6 years' experience of legal and digital matters in the field of sponsorship

Education: - University degree in business and/or marketing (ideally, a master's degree)

Languages: - Fluency in English, with excellent drafting skills
