Head Anti-Match-Fixing

The Head of Anti-Match-Fixing, who acts also as integrity officer for UEFA, leads the Anti-Match-Fixing unit. The incumbent supervises the activities aimed at combating match-fixing and reports to the Managing Director of Integrity and Regulatory with regard to integrity-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Acting as key contact person for the network of UEFA’s integrity officers in the 55 UEFA national associations;

- Running the Anti-Match-Fixing unit efficiently and overseeing the unit’s activities and integrity-related projects;

- Supervising cooperation with stakeholders, e.g. public authorities and service providers that collaborate with UEFA in the fight against match-fixing;

- Providing support in the context of investigations, upon request from an ethics and disciplinary inspector and in accordance with the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations;

- Providing support for the UEFA Disciplinary unit in connection with ongoing formal investigations or proceedings relating, for instance, to suspected cases of match-fixing, admission to UEFA club competitions, integrity-related matters, and proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne;

- Supporting UEFA’s Statutory and Regulatory unit in connection with UEFA’s legal framework for dealing with match-fixing at European level;

- Overseeing UEFA’s monitoring system for specific competitions;

- Monitoring and evaluating international/national laws and regulations;

- Supervising the organisation of events and meetings for integrity officers and other integrity-related meetings;

- Representing UEFA at integrity-related events, upon request;

- Preparing and delivering lectures on integrity-related matters, in conjunction with line managers;

- Regularly updating line managers.

Profile of successful candidate

Experience required :

- From 6 to 8 years' experience in an international sports organisation, ideally in football

- From 3 to 5 years’ experience in legal and Anti Match-Fixing matters

Education :

- Bachelor's in law

- Masters in sports law

Languages :

- English / Proficient

- French / Proficient

- German and any other EU language are an asset

Additional requirements :

- MS Office / Advanced

- Knowledge of SAP would be an asset

- Excellent written and spoken communication skills

- Perfect understanding of disciplinary processes in a sports environment

- Excellent command of football laws and regulations

- Attention to detail

- Sense of commitment

- Ability to work in a political environment and to be diplomatic
